Gulfstream marks 100 days since the all-new Gulfstream G700 received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification on March 29 and subsequently entered into service. Additional certifications, steadily increasing flight hours and deliveries around the world along with continued city-pair speed records demonstrate unparalleled program maturity for the G700.

To date, the G700 has also earned European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) type certification along with type certificate validations from eight nations, including Mexico, and the growing fleet has exceeded 700 flight hours.

GULFSTREAM G650 AND G650ER SURPASS 1 MILLION FLIGHT HOURS
When the G650 entered service in 2012, followed by the G650ER in 2014, the aircraft redefined business aviation. The G650 earned the 2014 Robert J. Collier Trophy for its performance, safety and efficiency innovations, and continues to set industry standards. In 2022, the aircraft completed a flight using 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), a business-jet industry original equipment manufacturer first.

Gulfstream announced the all-new Gulfstream G700 has earned additional Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications following the G700 FAA type certification on March 29. The new production and interior supplemental type certifications further clear the G700 for customer deliveries and entry into service.

​GULFSTREAM G700 EARNS FAA CERTIFICATION
Gulfstream G700 has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) type certification, paving the way for customer deliveries of the most spacious aircraft in business aviation. 

The G700’s FAA certification also confirmed two new performance improvements, giving customers increased flexibility and airport availability: a balanced field length takeoff distance of 5,995 feet/1,827 meters and a landing distance of 3,150 ft/960 m (standard ISA day, sea level), both shorter than originally anticipated.

​GULFSTREAM G700 SURPASSES 50 CITY-PAIR SPEED RECORDS

The G700 achieved its 50th speed record on a carbon-neutral flight connecting Los Angeles to Nice, France, traveling 5,197 nautical miles/9,625 kilometers in 10 hours and 13 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90. The industry-leading aircraft then set its 51st speed record — also a carbon-neutral flight — from Nice to Singapore, making the 5,754 nm/ 10,656 km trip in just 11 hours and 30 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.90. 

The latest record-breaking flights are a fast follow to a city-pair record set by the award-winning G700 on a trip from Tokyo to Savannah in December 2023. The new ultralarge-cabin aircraft made the 6,365- nm/11,788-km journey in 10 hours and 53 minutes at an average speed of Mach 0.91.

Gulfstream Continues Service Center Expansion

This year will see the opening of a Gulfstream Customer Support service center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and a service center will debut in 2023 in Mesa, Arizona, the Savannah, Georgia-based airframer said yesterday as part of an update on its customer-service activities.

Gulfstream expects to open the nearly 160,000-sq-ft Texas service center this year at Fort Worth Alliance Airport. It plans to transfer customer-support employees from its Dallas Love Field facility to Fort Worth in addition to creating 50 new jobs.

The board of directors of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) today declared a regular quarterly dividend of $1.19 per share on the company’s common stock, payable August 6, 2021, to shareholders of record on July 2, 2021.

The board also provided management with the authority to repurchase an additional 10 million shares of the company’s issued and outstanding common stock on the open market.
